  This is Mr. Shi's office, who is the director of Real Estate Bureau of Changsha City. It is a common practice that government officials have luxurious bedrooms in their offices. On Feb. 8, 2007 (Beijing Time), a group of home owners came to Mr. Shi's office to complain for not being able to claim back their property. Mr. Shi was not in his office, and the visitors were able to take these pictures. These property owners were forced to rent their rooms/homes to others in 1950s after Communists took the power. Since 1958, the renting was managed by the government, so owners could only get part of the rent income. After 50 years, the owners still can't claim back their property, while some of the property was developed.
