The press freedom organization Reporters Without Borders will be present on many fronts on 3 May, World Press Freedom Day.

For the 10th year running, it will publish a new list of Predators of Press Freedom C politicians, government officials, religious leaders, militias and criminal organizations that directly target journalists and regard the press as a bugbear, as a major enemy. They are powerful, dangerous, violent and above the law.

Reporters Without Borders will participate in a meeting on online free speech in Tunisia, while one of its representatives will be in Turkey to defend the work of journalists there.

The organization has been invited by UNESCO to pay tribute in New York to Stphane Taponier and Herv Ghesquire, two French TV journalists who have been held hostage in Afghanistan since 29 December 2009.

Reporters Without Borders is also publishing a new collection of photos. Dedicated to the work of Ren Burri, it went on sale since 28 April.

Other events are planned to celebrate the defence of media freedom throughout the world.
