An open letter issued by Chinese dissidents:

We, the undersigned, are humbly asking you to please release Nobel 2010 Peace Prize Winner Mr. Liu, Xiaobo. He and his friends initiated a petition which requests that the Chinese Government abide by the People's Republic of China's Constitution. The petition asks for a political reform which is allowed under the People's Republic of China's Constitution. However, he was arrested and sentenced for a term of 11 years in jail for this activity. The world is outraged that the Chinese Government would react this way to a peaceful request for a political reform which is allow by its own Constitution. This is one of the reasons why he received the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize. Mr. Liu, Xiaobo talks the same political reform as Chinese Premier Wen, Jiabao. Ironically, Mr. Liu is jailed, but, Premier Wen is free. Please let Mr. Liu, Xiaobo free now. Thank you.
