Boxun reports that on Thursday July 16 the China Internet Network Information Center has issued its "24th China Internet Development Status Statistical Report." The first half of 2009 saw China's number of Internet users surpass 300 million, and the number is still growing rapidly, making China the country with by far the largest online population in the world. Other statistics as of June 30: 12.96 million web domain names registered. And 155 million access the internet via 3G mobile telephones, making up 46 percent of the total netizens.
