This can be the #1 odd financial news in the world in 2007. Bo Xilai - Minister of Commerce said so on Jan. 16. Can anyone find another minister in this world who puts his first priority as to reduce his country's trade surplus?

This ridiculous announcement shows how impotent those high rank officials are in China. Their best skill is to build up the network. Bo Xilai is the son of Bo Yibo, one of the eight old generation communists in China who just passed away this week.

This "odd" news was pulled off a few hours later from official news website.
