Citizen Journalist Sun Hai Yang Received Twenty-One-Month Sentence

Shen Yang---According to several inside sources, citizen journalist Sun Hai Yang has been taken into custody in January, 2009, and might be release in October,2010. Specfic accusations against Sun are still unknow.

Sun had been reporting on a local casino’s cheating case for six years. During this period, he was not only once being beaten and threatened.  

In a letter Sun wrote to Boxun editor, he emphasizes that he truly loves his country and pays full respect to the ruling party. However, the government is attempting to murder himand his family. His wounds pain him every raining day, making him consider giving up his life.
